I am not sure what I did to offend the universe this week, but it’s relentless. There are now reviews (on Amazon) claiming some individual named Gina is the person behind Audrey Greene’s A Light in the Dark (I’m assuming the print edition, which did already release.) This is absolutely false.
Audrey Greene is a pen name of R.J. Blain. Rebecca Frank (Bewitching Book Covers) is the graphic designer. Small interior images are licensed from depositphotos and were not designed by anyone named Gina.
I am not sure why Gina thought it was a good idea to buy copies of the book to verify her review / claim, but this is absolutely false. I saw copies because there were two reviews of this nature (that I know of thus far) making this claim.
I have taken the appropriate measures, but it was necessary that I make a public statement that no, this individual had zero involvement with A Light in the Dark or any of my titles under any pen name.
With all that said, I do hope the universe decides to stop picking on me this week. I’m tired.

And no, i have not had time to look into this matter at all, and I bumped the issue to Amazon’s customer service to deal with, but yeah. Nobody named Gina had anything to do with the title. I will take a closer look at it tomorrow. (While screaming into the void)

Seems like an amazon screw up linking 2 titles as the reviews are attached to another title which is actually poetry which is out since 2020

It’s a crazy world, with so many crazies in it. Sorry to read that this one chose to land on you.

And this is why I have a Kobo.
I’ve just looked at the reviews in question and they are dated 2020 and 2021. This is clearly impossible for them to be referring to this book unless they have a time machine – which I highly doubt! How they became attached to this book, who knows? Amazon clearly work in mysterious ways 🤔

The interesting I noticed on the fake reviews and the two othrs below it is the dates, the book is just published and the reviews are dated 2020 and 2021 so maybe something to point out to the ever so helpful (sarcasm) people at Amazon
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
Yep. If they push back I am going to ask how I could have possibly predicted reviewing something several years in the future.
I am so fucking tired, and I really need to universe to lay off at this stage.

Funny just what I was writing too.

Gina wrote a different Light in the Dark – back in 2015. Amazon needs to work on how they link reviews – they date from 2015 and before your book was published. I love all your books!
Dorothy
The reviews are not even about your book. Maybe they refer to a book with a similar title. Good luck. It’s sounds frustrating!

Hi
Amazon have attached reviews for Gina’s book, linked below.

Very sloppy of Amazon and a disservice to both you and Gina.
I’m really enjoying ‘Partners in Crime’ and looking forward to reading ‘A light in the dark’ next!

They need to leave you alone! I am thoroughly enjoying reading this book!

I am so sorry that someone is trying to claim credit for your book. I’ve reported those reviews to Amazon as fake.

I loved A Light in the Dark and gave it 5 stars!

I hope Karma (lol) comes for the person or computer program.
Love all your books.
