As the armchair editors successfully got Beginnings suppressed, I have decided to offer one book at $0.99 once a month for essentially the rest of eternity. The first book up for grabs is Inquisitor, the first Witch & Wolf novel. Some readers have noticed that the book is actually second in chronological order, but I highly recommend you read it first, as it was my introduction into the world and how the Witch & Wolf world came to be.
This is a semi-dark urban fantasy splashed with little bits of humor and romantic tendencies. There is fade-to-black sex throughout the series, but the focus is on the fun… and not the kind that takes place in bed.
Pro-tip: My romance and romantic relationships do not rely on sex as the driving factor as a general rule. Some characters have active sex drives, but my focus when writing the books is their personal relationships outside of bed.
Thus the fade-to-black tendencies. If you need sex on the page, my books aren’t for you. They’re not that kind of read.
This was the first book I ever had that was actively attacked by another jealous author and her buddies, so there’s a badge of pride there. Honestly, that sort of sad behavior has since gotten old, but there’s something special about that first time, right?
You will like this series if you enjoy: earlier works of an author where learning was obviously being done, werewolves, more werewolves, and witches. The humor is dark and twisted, as are the plotlines.
Hint: read carefully. There are a lot of little clues sprinkled throughout. This is meant to be a smart read, where the reader is expected to engage their brain and look for fun little clues and piece together a puzzle. While at stages I hand hold, I often do not in this series, as I wanted this to be a smart read.
You can get a copy of this book at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple Books, and Google Play. The book was just uploaded, so if you’re a google play reader, you can start stalking the site for the link.
Expect Google Play to take 24 hours before Inquisitor becomes visible, but it has been uploaded. More Witch & Wolf books will be coming soon. (I will try to do one a day, along with any other missing backlist items missing from this vendor.)
Here’s the cover, made by the mystical and amazing Rebecca Frank:
Happy reading. This sale will continue until roughly the 7th of January of 2022. It will be literally years before this goes on sale again, so if you want it, I really recommend you grab it. (The only exception to this will be if a vendor requests the book be discounted for a promotion… with this series, exceptionally unlikely.)
I hope your 2022 is starting off well, and if it hasn’t… go plant some flowers and spark your own joy, however you can.

Happy New Year! I love, love, love your books! ALL of them. I don’t understand, though, what is meant by armchair critics getting a book suppressed? You are the author and can write anything you please. As an avid fan, please keep writing :)! Thank you.

It means that ‘helpful’ readers use a report typo tool on Amazon, and Amazon decides the book is of too low quality to be sold on their site, so they pull it from sale.

I don’t “read” good books, I “experience” them. Hence, I know for a fact that your books are good.

Just wanted to say thank you for the book. I know you’re probably selling at a loss, but it’s still greatly appreciated. I started reading your Magical Rom/Com series and got hooked pretty quick. You write, I’ll read.

This was the second series of your I read and it is awesome… thank you for the experiences you have given us and continue to share.

I have read many of your series but only the crossovers from this one. I purchased the book. Thank you.
Melissa
Are you still going to keep posting in Kobo? I have been buying the books there.
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
Yes.

Dear Kitties, please give your human extra purrs. She needs all the purring. She’s been attacked by the pitiless armchair editors.
When I am besieged, I read a book. Usually one of hers. If she is unable to relax after all the purrs, perhaps she can try that too.
My sister in laws sister wrote a piece of escapism she might enjoy. Or not, no pressure.
Dark Mirror: The Lackland Abbey Chronicles: The First Adventure
The purrs are the most important though…and chocolate ?! I almost forgot the chocolate!

I have devoured the Witch and Wolf series! I went to purchase the 99 cent book and discovered I had the complete set as a sample already so I started that and promptly purchased it when the sample ran out. Devoured the first 4 books and hunted down the others and am in the process of devouring them as well. I’m really full. 🙂 But I will not stop until all the books have been devoured. ALL OF THEM. 🙂

Avid reader here! I love all of your books, in all of your different worlds and tend to reread them multiple times. I’ve just started into your Royal States series after devouring all of your titles under RJ and Bernadette. Don’t let the haters get you down! You are an incredible writer with so many stories to tell. Fun or serious, I am drawn into your books and always excited to pick up the next one as soon as it is available. Keep up the excellent work!

Just finished rereading Catnapped and Client form Hell. I like your theology of balance, and the ending of Client was nice – a hint of what may come after, but not the kind of cliffhanger that leaves me antsy. (I love Terry Mancour’s books but he does at times finish with a cliffhanger that induces anxiety.

Inquisitor was actually my introduction to your books – and led me to read everything you have written. Have my favourites of course, Rift King, Zodiac no. 1, House Lost at sea, Jesse Alexander and all the witch & wolf world stories amongst them.. keep writing what you love please (‘cause I happen to love them too!)
