I just wanted to drop you a note that my patreon is getting a facelift. I’ve been discussing the changes with my patrons, and now that I have a better idea of what I’m going to be doing, all of the tiers will be getting some adjustments and shuffling.
I’m going to be adding a few new tiers. They is a $100 tier for those after signed paperbacks (they will NOT be receiving digital format copies of the books, and will receive their print versions after all final checks are done and the books are ready to be printed), and a new $250 category, where they will receive a choice of 10 backlist novels a month of their choice. (Why 10? To save my sanity, since they have to be done individually.)
Eventually, I may unlock backlist novel options for the $25 tier, but that’s only after I’ve gotten it properly set up in the system. (More on that later.)
Here are the current tiers and what they offer:
$2: The Tip Jar
The Tip Jar is just that; you want to toss pennies at RJ. (Please miss. Being pinged with pennies hurts!)
The Tip Jar does offer some benefits. You’ll get access to all general Patreon updates, what the author is doing, and commentary from the cats as they feel like posting.
The Tip Jar will also have access to any writing-related tips that are posted.

$5: Pixie Patrons
Pixies will receive access to the backlist read along and any short stories written in addition to a monthly letter from the author or the Furred & Frond Management.
Warning: may include photographs of cats being adorable.
Pixies are represented by the queen of Pixie dust distribution due to the lack of appropriate pixie pictures.

This tier is for those who prefer their books in tattooed dead tree format, and does not include a digital version of the new books.

Yes, I will ship internationally for this tier, but it will be done by whatever the cheapest shipping method is and will not include anything other than the signed book due to shipping fees.
Expect four new novels a year, but more may happen depending on the author’s ability to navigate the murky waters of life.

The Celestials are a breed of unicorn to be introduced in On Point in the Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count) series. As I’m contrary, I’m using the fluffy pony from my upcoming Pirate Magic (Exiled at Sea) series.
There’s a cat AND a magic pony… what? What?
This tier receives everything the Spicy Ponies with Bite do, with one new addition:
The patron will receive (via message/book funnel) a selection of ten backlist novels per month (until they have received the entire collection.)
Please note that the backlist catalog is being limited to ten per month to save the author’s sanity.

With the exception of the signed paperback (the only way to get future new signed paperbacks outside of kickstarters or coming to find me at a con or winning a giveaway), the Patreon is being revamped to allow me to do what I love most: write.
I want it to be fun and rewarding for everyone involved, which is why the $2/$5 tier is the only tier that are not receiving new novels moving forward.
Yes, Patrons will start receiving their copies of Silent Stalker starting with the early release tiers as soon as Amazon locks and I figure out how best to deliver the goods.

I’ve trimmed out some of the stressful elements, such as multiple short stories. All tiers will get access to future short stories no matter how many are released a month. I will, as I have time, edit the released stories so the Pixie Patrons have access to everything.
Truth be told… I felt guilty excluding folks from some shorts, so… I’m happy to be rid of that element of my patreon.
So, for those of you who like the idea of patreon, here you go. I’m sure it will evolve over the upcoming days/years as I figure out what works best. I may/may not add more backlist options to other tiers after I have had a chance to set everything up in bookfunnel. (It is a great deal of work I can’t commit to right this second, which is why there’s only one tier with it right now.)
The idea is to lessen my stress and have fun with my fans rather than… uhm… blow up from anxiety. (Tip tip tip till you just go pppooooopppp!)
My patreon was established as a way to interact with my readers, and honestly, it’s the place I tend to go to first. It’s a very comfortable environment for me. The conversations are nice, it’s low-stress, and it doesn’t have many of the problems facebook suffers from. (And it’s also more accessible for those who do not want to use social media.)

“building an empire of wealth and fame” caught my eye during my rereading of Blood Bound in advance of Silent Stalker’s release. An (audible) easter egg perhaps? Or were you running ‘Interview with the vampire’ in the background while working on Blood Bound?

Hello!! On Patreon I am on the $5.99 Cindercorn. On the $25 Cindercorn do I still pay the $5.99 per book? I want all the new books!! I have all of the back list books!!
No. The $25 monthly tier pays nothing extra unless they ALSO signed up for the per-release patreon. One is meant for those who want the extras. The other is for those who only want books.
