I love when I’m banned by an overzealous facebook bot. With zero recourse. (I can’t even ask them to review the bot’s results.)
1: Facebook is stressful.
2: Facebook is stressful.
3: I am banned from Facebook because I made a post that mentioned that there was a neighbor who may or may not have hit occupancy cap, how much the rent was, and that they weren’t allowed to have more than $x keys for their apartment.
Yes, I was accused of human exploitation for saying those things. (I’m honestly laughing over it. Sort of.)
The timing is ridiculous and stupid, but it’s fine.
I’m, at this stage, just rather done with facebook.
I am going to move all my giveaways to my blog and use a google form for entries. My PA will email winners rather than message on facebook. I will move my general socialization/chat (possibly with discord, the text-based version?) with readers to my monthly Patreon as a perk for them. That works well for me because it will give me more time to do things like cross-stitch, play games, etc.
Social media is, frankly, exhausting.
Bonus: rather than social media’ing, I’ll be luxury writing. That means more books? More books is good, right?
As I’m in facebook time out, I am going to try some new things.
I am going to post my daily/weekly/whatever progress on my art progress to my blog, here. If you want to see snippets of my personal life, subscribe to the blog at the bottom of the page using the wordpress emailer. It’ll dump the posts to your email, so you don’t even have to come to the blog unless you want to.
Assuming I’m ever given ad access back on FB, I’ll just use FB to reach new readers… and move elsewhere. Facebook continues to play stupid games… so it will win stupid prizes.
And I shed stress. I like shedding stress.
On that happy note, I have been working on a ship wreck cross stitch. Here is my progress on it so far! I am very happy with my progress. At my current stitch pace, I will be finished in approximately 2053.
Isn’t my unicorn needle minder adorable? I love it.
So, if you are curious why I’m quiet on FB… you now know why. Oopsy.
I think I’ll just stick to my blog and patreon. That’s just saner for my sanity.
