Shipping rates: $3.50 per book to the US. $20-something per book to Canada. $20-Something per book to the Netherlands. $20-something per book to the UK. This is how much it currently costs to ship, and these are the countries I was able to get solidified shipping prices for. (I am not eating the shipping costs on this, sorry.)
If the shipping rates haven’t scared you off yet… the trade paperback ‘preorder’ store is now available over at backerkit. Books are $25 per just like in the kickstarter. The books will be mailed via media mail unless I can combine an order in such a way I can priority post it for the same price. (It happens! Some of you will end up with priority posted books, some will end up with media mail depending on how many books are ordered.)
You can also order drop cards of various book collections to give away as gifts. (The drop card codes are one use cards where you can download all the books associated with the card. Books will be in epub format due to Amazon’s decision to discontinue mobis.)
For those of you new to epub, simply log into your amazon account and go to Manage Content and Devices.
Once there, click on preferences.
Scroll down to Personal Document Settings and click that.
The above dialogue will give you the name of device and email address. Open an email, add that address to the receiver box. Once done, scroll down until you see this:
Then click the following link:
Voila! You’re ready. Attach the epub file to your email and hit send. No subject or body message is needed. Doing so will send to your kindle cloud, where you can access the book across all of your kindle devices.
It takes five or so minutes on average, but once the document is there, you will forever be able to find it in your ‘docs’ section of your kindle library. Cloud-saved books, one easy step!
Happy reading, everyone.
P.S.: the smoke test for the surveys went out, and the rest of the surveys will be going out as soon as I make sure I didn’t fuck something up. (Failure is always an option.)
I’m so very grateful for all of you for coming along with me on this wild, wild ride.
