This is not normally something I consider doing, but things change, etc, etc. I won’t go into details beyond “I’m changing things up and destressing myself at the same time.”
Would you be all right if Vampire of Montana was released in April instead of May?
Why?
I want to be lazy, Vampire is with the editor now, so it will be ready easily for April, and I just don’t want to deal with two books at once. Dropping Vampire early is a destresser. I DO love doing dual releases on my birthday, but after spending most of December sick as hell with RSV, I’m heavily reevaluating how I handle things.
BUT, I also understand how budgeting IS a serious issue, and unexpected “oh this book is coming earlier” can be a money issue.
So, pitch in. Would an April release date for Vampire be something you’re okay with?
(And no, Doggone Mess is NOT up for April release consideration. I’m not done working on it yet.)
Thanks!
Early releases are fine by me
April, yay!!!
I would love it!
Earlier is great for me
We get a book early and you get destressed. I suppose the budget might be an issue for some, but I think it sounds like a win-win.
Yep, I am hoping with this much warning, they’ll be able to adjust their budget as needed.
yes
I’m good with it.
Definite win! Hope you feel better
Any release date is good for me!
I only have one book preordered in April so far so yes I would love to get my hands on it early
I don’t care one way or another. Whatever is easiest for you works for me.
I read by author, so as long as you publish I will probably follow your publications.
Yes! Yes, yes, yes! Please!
Go for it
Please, do what you need to do to get rid of stress in your life. Drop the book when it is best for you. Please get yourself well.
Yes please
April would be great. I’ll take it whenever I can get it!
I’m happy to get the book earlier. Yay! I’m good with whatever is easiest for you.
Yes for me I’d love it sooner
Early!?! Absolutely!!!
Works for me. . . . And sounds like it’s better for you. 🙂
Yes please
Echoing everyone else: I’m happy with an earlier release, please do what is best for you. Any change that results in less stress for you is a win for us as well.
Yes
I adore your writing. Drop your books whenever is best for you. I’m buying them whenever they are ready. I can’t see any of your proper fans being upset they get any of your fantastic content early. I also think if they drop later your fans should get by now that life happens. You are brilliant, keep being the you that is happy and healthy please ?
Not all of my fans are in good financial positions, and they save for months for a single book. So, I try to account for them as much as possible. I don’t want somebody’s bank account bouncing because I wasn’t considerate and gave plenty of warning.
Yes PLEASE
yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes please. An early treat is always welcome!
WHAT! Threatening to release a book I’m waiting with baited breath ( must have had earthworms for lunch)!
How could you! Please do so! This is a wonderful idea! Thank you! And may your health continue to improve!
I would love to have it in April! Not a budget problem for me and that’s the one I am really looking forward to right now.
Either way works for me. I vote for whatever distresses you. That virus is no joke.
Yay!
Absolutely ok to move it to April! I will never complain about getting a book early! Or, if you need to destress, I am willing to wait. I want you to keep writing things I love to read, so do what ever you need to stay healthy.
Yes!! Please!!! I like you being less stressed, and I am dying to read V of M!! ???
Heck yah! Bring it on!!! And I’m sorry you’ve been sick with RSV. I hope you’re feeling much better!!
Ooh yes please I’d love a book earlier than expected
YES, please! I have sufficient room in my budget for an early release. I would love to have a new book in April as well as one in May. I appreciate this will be easier for you but I, personally, would consider it a gift. Please take care of yourself and give yourself time to properly recover (maybe extra music time).
Will find the money. I’ll just have one less coffee. Lol
Early release for Vampire of Montana is great with me. Whatever helps you, because your books are my favorite reading.
REALLY??!! Yeah!!! On the serious side tho if it makes it easier on you I’m all for it.
Thanks for thinking of us all, but for me personally this is fine and exciting!
Whatever causes you LESS stress is fine.
I am perfectly happy with an early book, so please destress if needed 🙂
Thanks for asking. Yes please, I’m so excited to read it. ?

I would love to get the book earlier.
Sounds fabulous!
I don’t know if my answer should make an impact, but since I have the Patreon that get me all your books, I don’t mind financially. So if it’s better for your state of mind go for it. Mental health is very important.
Yes! I would love the April release! Take care of yourself!

I understand budget considerations, but if someone needs to wait to purchase. It will still be available in May. No worries! I’m soooo excited!?

I will love the book whenever you are ready to drop it. Do what is easiest for you.
Yes, please!
The earlier, the better!
Just FYI — I would rather read ANY of your books rather than eat. (I’m not actually in any danger of missing a meal.) Anything that helps you relax is good for all of us. I really am glad you’re feeling well enough to have this wonderful idea.
I pre-ordered. I’m happy with whatever makes you happy. ? Glad to hear you are on the mend from RSV.
Yes, please! I will always move my budget around to aquire your books.
Pretty please with cinnamon sugar on top!

I certainly understand budgeting restraints but knowing in advance definitely helps.I vote early release. I always look forward to your releases.
Early is always better for me!
I always look forward to your releases so when ever you are ready, i will be ready
That I am privileged to enjoy the world you have created means that I patiently/impatiently await your creations when YOU are ready to share. After the challenges you had in 2022, please do what is easier for you!
I’m good with April or May. Less stress for author = more books for reader!
Hello. While I would adore Vampire of Montana much sooner than not.. (the royal states is one of my very favorite series and I reread them frequently) . Please do whatever works best for you. Your overall health and well being is what is most important. Your readers & fans will easily adapt.
Oh, please, please, please release “Vampire” in April. Just in the spirit of Instant Gratification!
EARLY!!! REALLY??? YES please. I LOVE these books. I’ll have to make time to re-read the series (oh drats, I have to work!) Now I have something to really look forward to.
Yes!!! Lol
April works for me! Take care of yourself.
Yes, an April release of Vampire would be great! Am currently rereading the series (for yet another time, since this is my favorite of yours)
Would love to see Vampire in April as long it is not at the expense of your health/wellbeing/family life
Sure, why not?
That is a big yes from me. Less stress for you and a nice book for April seems like a good deal.
Works for me.
Yes, Yes, YESSSS!!!
(please)
Yes please
Yes!
Book early…yes please. Especially if it makes things easier for you
YES!
Yes, please go ahead and release it whenever you wang. That is my response for any future books as well.
Yes release early please
The Royal States series is my favorite
Yes, Please!
Yes, yes, Yes!!!!! Early release of Vampire of Montana, please!!!! I LOVE everything you write regardless of genre. I love your writing, your characters, and your story lines. If releasing a book early destresses you, well, girl, have at it!! Whooo Hoooo!!!! Thank you and Happy New Year!!
The sooner the better!
Yes. Anything, anytime.
Whatever works best for you
Please, yes. I would be thrilled to get it early, and the book budget can stand the strain. Also, please de-stress. Recovering from any sickness is really rough, and something simple like this (no extra work on your part) that can smooth out your overflowing daily task list, should definitely be followed up on.
Vampire of Montana would be wonderful in April! Appreciate all you do for your fans ?
Two months with books instead of just one? That sounds pretty awesome. And if it’s less stressful for you that’s a bigger plus in my opinion.
I am fine either way. I’d love to have the book sooner, but I can live with the schedule…
Thanks for the chance to comment.
I love to get books earlier than expected. Just do whatever is best for you!
I’m very happy to get a book early as long as it’s not causing you problems. I thank you for asking. I’ll be happy to see Doggone Mess in May as well! ?
Hello RJ, either one is fine with me
While budgeting CAN be an issue sometimes, getting a ‘this book is releasing a month earlier than planned or two months from now’ is workable. It’s when I’ve budgeted for a book in two months and I get a ‘surprise – it dropped today’ that it wrecks havoc with my plans. So yes, go ahead and release early. I look forward to reading it.
Yep, I HATE when this happens to me, and I tend to stop preordering books from authors who do it. It screws with my budget. I want to give plenty of lead time. But yeah… this is exactly why I asked.
Earlier is fine with me, no problem updating my book budget. Bottom line is whatever is less stressful for you.
It would actually make things easier for me.
Earlier works for me. Thank You
I’m good with whatever works best for you. Love the idea of getting it a bit earlier than planned though!
Already paid for so as soon as ready is ok with me
Earlier the better. And you’ve given us heaps of time to budget.
I had just checked on Vampire of Montana a few hrs ago… so to find that it’s moved up a month is just awesome! So for me, I’m eagerly waiting Vampire of Montana, Shadowvale, Doggone Mess, etc.
I would be more than happy to have V of M released in April.
Montana vampire would be welcome in April
Of course V of M can drop in April; your work is always, always welcome.
Early? Yes!
I’m always happy with earlier release dates 🙂
I have no problem what ever works for you!!
Ummm, Yes, Please! 8) Did you really expect an argument?
I would Never turn down getting one of your books early! I still have a spare kidney!
Ooooh! April! Thank you.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! 🙂
Can you tell I’m eager to read about the ‘evil twerp’?
Hi, I would love to get vampire of Montana early, I will admit the Royals are my favourite series of yours .take care and stay safe. Kath
April, Yay!
You are the creative genius. What works for you works for me. Release early or release late, your call. I live with an author and understand “thing’s change”. Just don’t stop writing/publishing. That would cause me “great sadness”.
I have no problem begging for money for books from my family so drop it whenever it is good for you.
Anytime I am able to receive one of your books at an earlier-than-expected-date, I’m delighted!! Go for it!
I agree with whatever destresses you, and helps you recover from the December illness!
I’m happy to get your books whenever I can. Early, late, 3AM on the moon…..I’m lucky enough that my family isn’t big on ceremonies, so my fun purchases in a year are basically added together as Birthday/Christmas.
Yes
You are one of my most prolific authors, and top of my list for rereadability. I will take what I can get when I can get it, and if I have to make an extra trip to the food bank, well at least I’ll have something to keep my mind off it!
Release it whenever it’s ready, I’d rather a later great read than a rushed ordinary one.
Whatever you need to do is fine.
By all means, destress (rather than distress!) yourself. If anything, early release is a plus for me, so if it’s better for you I certainly won’t complain.
You take care of your self , early is fine . Get healthy so you are your best you can be .. set up comfy pillow fort stocked with snackie snacks , good drinks and warm blankets.
Early releases are never a problem. Go be a little lazy.
I would love an early release
I am easy, either way. You need to take care of yourself. Anybody that can’t afford it in April, (maybe me), can stick it on a wish list and buy when they can afford it.
I am very excited by the early release; I just read all of States after finally being able to finish Magical RomCom.
Purely for clarification (no stress intended), will Vampire still have a Payhip link? Or would it now be available as a Patreon charged post for the novel-only group?
It will be done through Patreon as normal.
Awesome! That’ll be great?
