And for some good news, it is official! I will be attending DragonCon this year as a professional. Hooray!! If you’re in the area, I do hope you’ll be able to drop in and say hello! I don’t yet know what my schedule will be, but I will be in attendance during all of the days of the con.

That’s a great con! I’ve been a few times. Atlanta is insane that weekend – in addition to the con there’s usually a big football game and a parade as well. Seriously if you’re staying in the area you should be trying to get a hotel now.
I have a hotel room arranged already.
Congratulations! Dragoncon is supposed to be fabulous; I hope attending as a professional brings you increased visibility and many new readers for your work!
Dragoncon can be lots of fun. There’re so many wonderful things to do. I suggest you pick out a few and be flexible about the rest. Panels fill up very fast. The parade Saturday morning is extraordinary, but don’t forget your sunscreen and sunhat. The music tracks, concerts & filking are incredibly varied. Whatever your style: Celtic, gothic, steampunk, rock, maybe even jazz, it’s probably there. Bring a compass; the dealers’ room and art show are huge. Allow lots of extra time to eat, too; places fill up fast, & lines tend to be long. Sometimes it can all be a bit much, so be sure to leave time to decompress.
Honestly, I won’t be doing much in the way of panels etc for panels I’m not specifically on! I will probably be writing/spending time with my spouse when I’m not doing work things lol
