Welcome to your mid-year guide to all things upcoming! Here’s your one stop shop to know which books are coming out when, changes to plans, etc, etc, etc.
- Doggone Mess, May 16, 2023: Amazon | Barnes & Nobles | Kobo | Apple Books
Price: $6.99, price will increase to $7.99 on May 17, 2023. (Due to length of novel.) Either preorder to lock in the lower rate or buy on release day if you want it at the lower price.
- 101 Ways to Die, June 2, 2023: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | Apple Books
Price: $4.99, price will increase to $5.99 on June 3, 2023. (Due to length of extra stories.) Either preorder to lock in the lower rate or buy on release day if you want it at the lower price.
Note: The core story is the same. This book has exclusive short stories that will only be found with the retail/patreon versions of the novel. I will not be placing these stories in any anthologies, etc, as they are only related to this specific tale and the characters in it. if you want the short stories, you’ll want to grab this copy. If you don’t want the short stories, that’s also fine. While there’s nothing series critical within the short stories, Lucifer is in at least one of them, as are the Quinns.
In other news, I’ve discovered, through working on these short stories, I’m not all that fond of writing the “other side” of characters meeting each other. (Funny typo of the day: meating each other… well, that took a kinky turn.)
- Dead Weight (G.P. Robbins), July 25, 2023: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | Apple Books
Price: $7.99.
Note: If books like Cheetahs Never Win or Fowl Play were up your alley and you enjoy unicorns, dragons, and other fun and whacky species doing cop stuff, this series is for you. It is one part comical mayhem, one part murder mystery. This is not a one book resolution series. The primary murder mystery will carry over numerous titles. Like the Magical Romantic Comedy series, there will be new leads in some of the books. However, the lead character in the first title is a primary lead character for the series. So much like Bailey, you’ll see him pop up as the lead character on numerous occasions.
At current, I have seven books charted out, with Jace being the lead character of two of them. The other lead characters are secondary characters you will meet in the first book.
There is romance, but the romance is a secondary arc compared to the lives of these poor officers of the law dealing with magic and mayhem in Precinct #153.
Note: These books are long, so you can expect to pay $7.99 per title. I’m not even apologetic for this.
- Life-Debt, August 11, 2023: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | Apple Books
Price: $4.99.
Note: This book is the same as what was found in the Pets in Space Anthology (which is no longer available for sale.)
Yes, it’s a science fiction. Yes, there is romance. Yes, the girl has fox ears and a tail. I like foxes!
No, it is not the same universe as the Audrey Greene books.
- Old Secrets, November 3, 2023: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | Apple Books
Price: $6.99.
Note: Price may be subject to change should the book turn out to be longer than expected.
This is the conclusion of Karma’s trilogy.
- Whiskers on Kittens, December 25, 2023: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | Apple Books
Price: $6.99.
Fluffy magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count), so if you enjoyed Murder Mittens, you should like this one.
- Trickster King (Copperfield), January 19, 2024: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | Apple Books
Price: $5.99. Might end up $6.99 due to length, but this is currently an unknown. Should the price change, it will happen on January 20, 2024.
Note: Pat & Jessica #3.
- Grave Affairs (Lilith Daniels), April 5, 2024: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | Apple Books
Price: $7.99 due to expected length.
Note: This is also paranormal investigations with dragons and there’s also a cat, and I love this story.
Changes to Schedule… the part y’all may or may not like!
So, if it isn’t in the list above, I do not know anything about it. I need time to breathe, and this schedule is pretty breakneck in terms of workload.
Before you ask “when are you working on this?” look at this list. If it isn’t on this list, the answer I’m going to give you is “I do not know.” (In reality, I have a list of books I want to work on next, but I am not going to stress myself sick over it.) That means “I don’t know, sorry” is the answer everyone is getting on EVERY question regarding books that aren’t on this list.
I don’t want to get sick, I don’t want to burn out, and I don’t have the mental capacity, at this moment, to try to do an extensive plan or schedule outside of what is on this list.
Do I have other books open on my computer? Yes. Am I working on other stuff in the background? Also yes.
I’m not sharing the list, because I need room to breathe. And let’s face it… the list that’s above here? It’s pretty awesome! There’s a lot of great things on the horizon, drawing closer by the day.
Please be patient. Impatience isn’t going to make me write faster. If anything, the pressure will make me write a hell of a lot slower. So, let’s keep the book train choo-choo’ing along and be happy there are new books coming rather than bombarding me with “when is this coming out?” please and thank you!
I will answer a few very common questions, however: Serial Killer Princess 2 and Leashed I Could Do will be in the Mag Rom Com anthologies when they release. If they end up full novel sized vs novellas, they will still be in the Mag Rom Com anthologies. Due to the expected length of these anthologies, expect to be paying $9.99 for them. Have I done serious work on the anthologies yet?
No. I haven’t been in a brain space for short stories lately. (And I’m writing a few because I need to right now. It has been an adventure.)
So… I don’t know.
Moving forward, after the Mag Rom Com series concludes, I expect the only way that I will publish in the world for fun and games is in anthologies like this, where there is a spinoff novel plus a collection of short stories or novellas.
Onto the next question, which drives me more than a little batty…
The Vigilante Magical Librarians world is NOT related to any other world I have written. It is its own thing. It has its own universe. It was never part of or will be part of any of my other series. (I’m not sure who started that rumor, but it’s absolutely wrong. It isn’t related to Royal States OR Mag Rom Com at ALL, nor is it future or past of either of these worlds…)
Thank you for your understanding. (And yes, I will be finishing the planned set of books, which number in at 5. The only thing I won’t be doing is creating another series in the same world, as it’s clear it’s just not going anywhere due to it’s very, very low sell-through rate and poor ratings. It will get written when it gets written, although I want to get it off my plate because it is a resource drain more than anything else. (May as well take the hits to my earnings and time earlier than later and just get it done…)
Phew. Now… back to the grind. I have a lot to get done to finish preparing Doggone Mess for its release on the 16th.
Happy reading!
Valerie
Thank you for writing books I enjoy. Please keep yourself healthy.
Danielle Crabtree
Thank you so much for everything you create! You are one of my top authors!
Debra
Your books bring me joy every time I read them. Like everyone I always want more, but please keep to a pace that is sane for you. I’m just happy to be a part of this wonderful series of worlds.
Inga Abel
+1 ?
Lynne
I can’t imagine how you continue to write so many exceptional stories and worlds on this accelerated schedule! I am grateful you keep us updated and thrilled to see a release date for Grave Affairs
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
I think it’s worth noting that I basically disappeared for half a year with small interludes, which I spent just writing books! LOL (and playing video games…)
Geri Gushurst
Thank you so much for the list of upcoming releases! There was a few of them I missed. Love your books!!!
Ingrid Schijven
Fantastic, now the waiting begins. I pre-ordered them all, but as I am also on your Patreon, it could be that I have to cancel them on amazon. If I could i would not do that but to pay twice for the same book is to expensive for me to do that for all, some I will, one of them will be Trickster King (Love Patrick)
Adena
(jittering) Awesome! Write whatever you want to – I will buy and read it! (Oh, my aching wallet!)
Cyndy Shubert-Jett
If you write it, I’ll definitely read it.
Saga
Thank you for this update.
Looking forward to them all!
Please protect yourself, we like your noggin too much..
filkferengi
Thank you very much for the delicious, detailed update. So much yummy goodness to look forward to!

Just wanted to let you know, I just started Royal States with The Vampire of Montana. Love it – guess what I will be doing and enjoying for the forseeable future. I wish you helpful Muses and luck when you need it. Thank you for the hours of entertainment (I stated with RomCom w/ a Body Count – so fun).
Maureen McCarthy
I LOvE YOU!!! Thank you!!!
Bill G
Groovy, and thanks for the info. Although, as always, I’m sorry to hear that the Vigilante Magical Librarians stories are not catching on. I love them.
Xander
Well this is a phenomenal list to look forward to. Happy writing! And no, don’t burn yourself out! Good things come to (readers) who wait.
Jaunita James
I had most of them already pre-ordered, and now I have the rest. I always adore reading your books. Thank you for your wonderful stories!
Paula
Thank you. I really appreciate all the work you put in. Your work, under all authors, is my go to chill out space.
Sally
I don’t usually comment, but. I don’t care how much and when the books come out. I just want to get them and read them!!! BUT please take care of yourself first. And rest as needed. I will wait for your wonderful words and pay as needed. THANKS. Sally
Frances L
I have pre-ordered all your books, and am patiently waiting for them to publish. In the meantime, I have been reading the Royal States, in order and about to start the Mag Com series.
Rebecca Garrett
I really appreciate all of the books that you put out. I amazed at how many books you can get out in a year. I have become so used to other authors I follow who only put out at most one or two per year.
I have one question, I’m in the per novel patreon, I just want to know if I will be getting the novels you are writing under new pen names. (So I can pre-order them if I need too.)
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
Yes, the patreon folks are getting all of the author names. Anthologies remain the exception.
Susan Latimer
Yeah, so happy to hear you are going to finish the Vigilante Magical Librarian series! Can’t wait until I see them available
Rosemary Hall
Thankyou. For allowing me to share your worlds. I have enjoyed all of your books and reread them regularly. They have always brought a smile to my face or made me think. Thankyou once again for your talent and your writing. On a personal note, just because I can empathise with your dilemma, You do you. It’s all anyone can ask of you. If they ask more of you than you have to give, then they need to walk a mile in your shoes before they ask again!
Becky R Hughes
I just want to throw a little appreciation out there for the great entertainment you provide me. I have throughly enjoyed all of your works I’ve read, and I’m working my way through the rest. I especially like the Hypnos series and anything written in the Royal States world. I do a little happy dance every time a new one comes out. It ain’t pretty, but it’s genuine happy. Don’t let the pushy people get you down; you’re doing a great job! Thank you for all of it!
Nancy anderson
Thank you for writing these enjoyable books!! I’ll admit the first bit of grave affairs has got me hooked and I can’t wait for it to come out!! ??
Patty
Just saying, I love the librarians. All your books that I’ve read so far have been awesome. Thank you for sharing your worlds with us :).
Arianna Fulthorp
Much love! And hey, if the complaints get to be too much, there is always Azeroth!
becky43
I don’t even see how you are going to be able to work on the the list you gave us, much less ask for anything else!! That is a lot of books! Looking forward to them!
