Per request, I am working on a single webpage that has links to all of my books from all of my pen names. This is, frankly spoken, a massive endeavor. However, as I (mostly) finish things, I wanted to take the time to showcase the first series I have completed!
P.S.: Doggone Mess is now out in audiobook edition everywhere except Audible, and Audible should be coming in the next few days.
This is the official reading order for this series. This is it. This is the definitive reading order. If anywhere says otherwise… they are incorrect. Full stop.
If you want chronological reading order… move A Chip on Her Shoulder to first place. Otherwise, good luck with that, because there is so much overlap that it is literally impossible to put this series in chronological order.
Please stick to the author intended reading order for the sake of everyone, especially me. If you read in the author intended order, you will receive the little nudges and reminders you may need so you don’t have to go back to book one to understand what’s going on necessarily…
But, all that said, most of these can be read as a standalone. If you enjoy putting puzzles together, read in chaos order. Start anywhere you want, see how the reading changes. (And yes… you will get different perspectives depending on where you start in the series. I did that on purpose.)
I wanted this series to be accessible to everybody. So, chaos is okay. Just don’t ask for author-approved chronological orders. It doesn’t exist, nor will it. (But, as said above, just bump Chip to be first and prepare to be gloriously confused as you forget everything you read when you need it in the publication order list.)
I could be talked into doing a special edition hardback version of Playing with Fire, Burn, Baby, Burn, and the Flame Game. Right now, it isn’t in the cards, but if there is enough interest, I might. (Note: $49.99 will be the rough price for the books, and I would very probably throw in some exclusive content (in form of possible short stories, glossaries, etc. No, $49.99 is not a typo. The special editions are a lot more work for everybody involved in the process, and I deserve to be paid more than $0.10 for a special edition hardback.)
Note: if the link is not present, it’s “on the to-do list” to do. But since this series is mostly done, I’m making the list available for everyone.
Happy reading!
Oh, one more thing…
With Whiskers on Kittens releasing on December 19, I will be doing a 12 Days of Christmas special event on my blog. I will be hosting etsy stores of authors who are also artists, I will be sharing blind dates with holiday books, and books on sale, most of which will be written by my friends.
I will be discounting 12 Magical Romantic Comedy Books between December 7-18, 2023. The first twelve books in the series will be $0.99 each, which makes it the perfect time to give the gift of reading to a friend.
So, if you are on a budget, mark your calendars!

I love owning hardbound books. I’m waiting patiently for the August bounty. I really want you to make money writing, because I want new books. I prefer my authors to mind their health and ignore impatient readers who demand too much.
Bobette Bridenbaugh
How about a advent calendar of books. Pre purchase for say $25.00 and you could get a book a day. You could include some of your older titles from other pen names.
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
No, this is way too much work and effort for me, and I want to have some time to relax for the holidays. Setting up my little faire will be work enough.
Pam
I would love a hardcover of the 3! And yes, you deserve to make enough on that version, so the price is fine. I re-read all 3 fairly often, so a non-electronic version would be most welcome

Lovely; thank you!

I hesitate to ask, but I had Client from Hell between Catnapped and Plaidypus. I know it is a different series-Magical Hellish Comedy (with a body count), within the same general series-Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count), but this is where it seemed to go based on publication and the timeline. Plus you have other trilogies spread out within Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count). Anyway is this where it goes or should I move it or pull it out?
Anyway I love your books, all of your pen names, whatever trope or genre you have tried (except for Rift King which I can’t find).
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
It is a different series. It’s a Hellishly Magical Romantic Comedy. This is specifically the Magical Romantic Comedy (with a body count) series. It’s not the world stories. It’s just the series…
This guide does not / will not include any spinoff series. It’s only for the main series.
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
In reality, the Client series takes place over a huge swathe of the Mag Rom Com series books; It’s not meant to be read as part of the Mag Rom Com series, so I generally don’t care where people read it. After Catnapped is fine for chronological order, since Sandra doesn’t come onto the scene until after that book. But it’s not part of the Mag Rom Com series and shouldn’t be treated as such. It’s a spinoff, and the events in Client do not change the main series (you can read and fully enjoy the Mag Rom Com series without reading the Client books.) Sandra and Jonas are, as a general rule, not real players in the series, and their shenanigans are truly meant to just be for fun and games. So, in that regard, I consider them to be two entirely different entities. (Thus why they aren’t in the reading order.)
But you would be correct, timeline wise, on where to read them.
Diana T DiMascio
I found you because I bumped into Murder Mittens, lol. The title tickled me. Then I realized it was part of a series and ran all the way to the beginning and began gobbling them all up. Still hungry for more, so I am happy to see there are plenty more to come 🙂

The wolf pack alphas from Last but not Leashed and Doggone Mess — do they have their own novel/novella, printed or planned?
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
No, sorry. Not at this point in time.
