Amazon has… done something ‘interesting’ in the form of canceling a substantial number of preorders from the UK, France, and Denmark. (Maybe Germany, too, but everything from Amazon is indicating Denmark vs Germany.)
If you live in one of these nations, and you preordered any of my titles, it’s probable your preorder has been dropped. Please note that this is not something I had any involvement with. (I just tracked down some information when I saw large numbers of dropped preorders.)
Unfortunately, I have no idea when the drops will stop happening. I just wanted to make you aware that this seems to be a universal issue on these three specific parts of Amazon.
(But I am sorry about that, because I know I use preorders to make sure I get the books I want to read because I have the memory of Swiss cheese.)
Finally, regarding Life-Debt: if you missed one of the posts about the book being a cleaned up version of what’s in Pets in Space if you’re ordering on Amazon (the other vendors got a substantial addition in the form of a fun short story), please do feel free to return the book. You’re not going to hurt my feelings in this case, especially if you already had it in Pets in Space 7 and you did not want it under your author name collection / have it easy to find.
Shit happens, and the last time I flagged something as from a previous anthology, it was a living nightmare because so many people had questions. (Or they didn’t bother to read the description in the first place… which happened an amusing number of times.)
Yes, the version everywhere else has a bonus short story, so it is has approximately a 7% extension compared to the original edition. The release also has some things cleaned up, a few (very) minor inconsistencies resolved, and so on.
The Patreon edition has the author notes, but that specific edition is only available if you sign up as an Otter and download it directly from the post (as the bookfunnel links have already been sent.).
Thank you for your understanding on this matter! I hope you all have a great night. Happy reading.
