Onto the main show!

Reminder: I separate things out by pen name based on genre, vibe, etc. Grab Bag (RJ Blain style) has proven, literally, that mixing everything together does not work well. Had I been wiser, I would have split Zodiacs off to its own pen name as well, but alas, it’s too late for that.

And yes… people ask me if the Zodiacs world is the same world as the Mag Rom Com Series world. And people often think the Mag Vig librarians world is the same world as Mag Rom Com world.

Like seriously, y’all… if they were the same world, Lucifer would have shown up by now. They’re not.

I still am not sure why some people think the Royal States world is part of the Mag Rom Com universe, though… it really is not. The magic system is not even remotely similar. And they aren’t even by the same pen name.

This is a vibe guide for those of you who are confused about who I write as, why I have things split up, etc. This material has been stolen directly from my “Pen Names” page, which was just updated to add stuff, including the vibes listing.

Please note that all books are fade to black or milder. You will not be finding spicy spice here.

R.J. Blain (Grab Bag, anything goes)

This is R.J.’s grab bag name. If it’s speculative fiction of some sort, you’ll probably find it here. Mistakes have been made, as there is often confusion about which worlds exist. Here is a very brief breakdown of the worlds R.J. is writing currently along with the expected total of books in the series .

Any series without a symbol has at least one book written with more on the way or at least one title is available for preorder.

All links lead to Amazon series pages or the book’s title. Unless I say otherwise, the correct reading order for each series is what is on the Amazon series page. (Please do not use fan-based lists, such as what is on Goodreads. It is inaccurate if it is not identical to what is on the Amazon series page. It’s bothersome arguing with someone who thinks goodreads or fantastic fiction or whatever is more correct than the person who literally wrote the series.)

  • Magical Romantic Comedy World

    Vibe: Magical romantic Comedy with dark edges. (The whole BODY COUNT subtitle should be all the indication you need that it has dark edges. Come on, y’all. Bodies are hitting the floor, this is not light and fluffy material.)

    Vibe: Dark paranormal. You have been warned. Found family and family themes can be found throughout, but this is dark shit. If you don’t like dark, don’t read. Seriously. You’ve been warned.

    Please stop crying because you read a funny book I wrote and automatically assumed something would be funny despite the description having zero cues there is funny stuff to be found.

    Vibe: Magical romantic comedies without the magic and Lucifer is a woman with ADHD out to take over the world.

Audrey Greene

    Vibe: Feel good science fiction meets paranormal with dark delves into big events… like the destruction of Earth, illness from a mass planetary exodus, etc. Some darkness exists, but the books are designed to be warm fluffy blankets by the end.

    Note: should the first two books (one mystery) be successful, more books may be written.

      Murder Floof isn’t going to be released on Dec. 25th anymore? I have a list on my computer of your upcoming releases that I add to every time you give an update, and Murder Floof was slated for a Dec release in one of your posts, though I can’t tell you when I saw it… a while ago to be sure.

  8. Just wanted to say thanks. Several (many)of your books are go to escapism when I am really in need of a distraction/pick me up, as the mix of a bit of dark, adventure, twisty plots, humour and positive outcomes is such a comfort. I have just begun re-reading Rift King again (as am having another little depressive episode) and the escape is a blessing (yes, even incomplete, as I know when it comes in your own good time, it will be good) I hope you are well and your kitties also. I could not survive without my dogs. Keep doing what you need to do and what gives you joy and, again, Thankyou.

  9. Thanks for the update. Love the vibe descriptions. Juliette’s made me giggle. I hadn’t thought of them that way but it’s perfect. I recently read the 1st two Dae books because I’d run out of your work to reread. I now have a new series to eagerly look forward to.
