Outstanding is such a fun word, and given her way, the female will use it relentlessly today.
We can’t really blame her.
The IAN Book Awards, hosted by the Independent Author Network (which is vetted by the Alliance of Independent Authors, which the female is a member of), has announced the winners of this year’s awards!
The Run Around by Bernadette Franklin has been named Outstanding (heee, outstanding, outstanding!!) in the romance category, while Blood Bound by R.J. Blain has been named a finalist in the supernatural/paranormal category!
This is definitely deserving of either tacos or cake… or both. Maybe both! Or some other treat. Really, it need not be tacos.
There comes a point where the female is forced to acknowledge she might actually know what she’s doing when she writes books. We have reached this point. Good job, female. Now, please stop being embarrassed you’re good at your job.
Really. You’re embarrassing yourself and us furry tyrants.
Now, feed us. We’re hungry.

Mary Anne Petruska
So well deserved. Congratulations!

HA! Take that all you nit pickers, grumblers, and critics (although I would take that as a compliment -it means that they forgot that the book is FICTION!). Well done and keep on writing. Are you going to explain the difference between witch and mage in outfoxed? I thought witch was female and mage was male (in some stories).
The Sneaky Kitty Critic
That’s just how they have defined it. Witches can be either gender, mages can be either gender in this world. I recommend you don’t apply anything you ‘know’ from other stories to other works of fiction. It’s fiction.
Basically, I made it up, and the naming conventions have no bearing on other series or real life.
Valerie
