New Embedded Page Edge Editions (6×9 Paperback), General News

Greetings, folks!

I’m going to get straight to the chase. I am working on the embedded page edge editions (Which will be found via Barnes & Noble and Bookshop) and have an update for you.

Playing with Fire and Hoofin’ It are done and ready for purchase at Bookshop. Note: I receive a percentage of sales from Bookshop as an affiliate.

I do not know how long it will take for these books to reach Barnes & Noble, but that will be another vendor these will be available at.

Here are some pictures for you, very unprofessional, taken at my desk ten minutes ago.

I will be adding new titles to the bookshop page as they become available.

Just a few notes!

• The hardback editions (non-special) will use this sort of embedded edging.
• The hardback editions (special) will use sprayed edges.
• All hardback editions will include the same interiors, although non-special will be black and white printing with cream pages and special edition will very likely be color printing with white pages (unless they can do color on cream, which is my preference but may not be doable.) In either case, special edition will have color printing inside of the book, the only uncertainty will be if the pages are white or cream.
• The paperback (embedded edges) do have a ‘barcode’ like effect, which you can see in the photographs. It is personal taste if you like it or not. Personally, I do, because you can see how the ‘barcoding’ turns into the edge picture, and this amuses me.
• If you want blank page edges, you will need to order from Amazon.
• Please note that the barcode edging WILL be available on Amazon, but it has a different ISBN/identifier than the Amazon editions… and costs significantly more. I will be including links to the blank edge editions on Amazon.

I will be doing my entire catalogue with fancy embedded edging for Barnes & Noble, Bookshop, and independent booksellers. Amazon will continue to receive blank edges for a cheaper version of the book.

Essentially, the embedded page edges version of the book is for those who enjoy having something a little different. The blank edges are for those who prefer the traditional vibe.

Each series will have its own pattern. (By series, I mean world… so all Mag Rom Com and spin off books will use the feather motif. All Royal States (Agents and otherwise) will use the same motif. All Bernadette Franklins will use the same motif unless I open an actual series, in which case they will get an individual motif.

All Witch & Wolf World Books will have matching page edges, etc.

For those with page edge versions, you will have a confirmation, at a glance, which universe the book belongs to.

Other News…

I am going on a six week research trip with my husband in August through October. I will be seeing about doing a meet and greet in Miami, Florida sometime during the month of September. I will be making a general announcement of the when/where, but it will very probably be at a cafe, hotel lobby bar, or similar. Bring your own books/stickers/etc for signing, because I am not bringing any stock with me. (It’s a research trip not a signing/con trip, I’m just making myself available one evening for those in the Florida area who would like to say hello.)

For Patreon users, much won’t change except there will be photos of the trip being posted with the regular posts and regular posts might be grouped together depending on internet connection availability.

Kickstarter stuff:

I have begun the process of ordering customer boxes (each box having all the books for one customer.) As books arrive, they will be signed, repacked into the box (if the box allows), and then shipped off. If you are a kickstarter supporter and you have a weight limitation, please message me on kickstarter with your weight limitation so books can be repackaged into smaller boxes.
