I will be looking into other options for my audiobooks as time and energy allow. (Which won’t be immediately.)
As a clarification for yesterday’s post:
The examples were just that, examples. Not every series was listed. Please stop panicking. (There is no need to panic.)
Yes, finances are a huge part of why these series were left with long gaps between releases. Under normal circumstances, I have to time these releases for when I have extra income to cover my bills, rent, food, and expenses when I’m not making a whole lot of money.
These books usually take the 3-5 years between releases to earn back.
The Anthropic settlement will allow me to ignore that.
The other series (Like the GP Robbins books, Royal States, and so on) will be play projects I work on in the evenings, so releases will still happen, they just won’t happen as quickly.
Once all the series with one book are done, I’ll be rotating in the ones with two only left and getting those eliminated from my to-do list as well.
After that, it will be business as usual. (But with hopefully people being more chill about when things get done.)
There’s only one of me, and I don’t use ghostwriters, I don’t use AI, and I use human editors for all phases of my projects. As it’s an entirely by human program over here, it costs both money AND time, as it should.
AI cannot replace my brand of creativity. All it can do is attempt to copy my passion and flair.
And you know, if you like reading poor imitations, go for it. I just prefer to view, enjoy, and pay for creativity brought to life by humans rather than a computer fed a prompt.
You are one of the two authors I reread frequently, so I’m never pining over your future releases. I’m happy just to have your vast library to read and enjoy for the umpteenth time. And four or five new books a year? I’m in awe.
I only want your special kind of books, so there’s no issue 🌹
Is there a sample of the audio so I can hear the actor? Thank you
https://www.audible.com/pd/Whiskers-on-Kittens-Audiobook/B0DK496DV7 You can listen to Keira from here. (Patreon doesn’t let me (currently) put samples online.)
But Keira is my regular female voice actress, so if you’ve listened to any of my recent audiobooks, you’ve heard her before.
