For those of you who like audiobooks, I will be adding bookfunnel links to these tiers so you can easily download and listen to the new audiobooks through the bookfunnel app.
Please note that the bookfunnel delivery system is locked to bookfunnel, but it comes with its own library and so on. Both tiers will continue to gain access to the direct MP3 downloads of their audiobook files.
As a reminder, my Patreon is the heart and soul of my audiobook production: a percentage of everything earned at the Sirens, Cindercorn, and Spicy Pony with Bite tiers goes to all new audiobook production fees. (Right now, the only limitation I have is the waiting line for Keira and Cameron! Time solves that problem nicely, however.)
The rest goes to household basics, including rent, food, etc, and everything else is applied to production fees should I keep writing. Patreon is my only source of reliable income, so I found everything I do over how well Patreon is going.
Patreon also tends to receive news, and they also get a lot of rambling about my daily life when I’m giving them their perks. I do not prequeue my stuff, so some days I’m late, miss a day, etc, but that’s a symptom of humanity. (And I try to make good whenever I flake out.)
Here’s a super brief overview of what people get on the Patreon.
Note: when I DO do art, which I haven’t been doing lately, Cindercorns and Spicy Ponies with Bite receive copies, etc. If I do a line art piece for a coloring book, they receive the cleaned up page so they can print and color. (I’m hoping to do some line art sooner than later, but the cleaning up process is… rough.)
All tiers receive everything the lower tiers get… so the Otters receive everything the Pixies get, the Sirens receive everything the Pixies and Otters get, and so on.
$5 Pixies: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, they receive a chapter from an older book along with personal life commentary and author notes about what I remember about writing the book. (The older books get sketchy for the author notes, so I try to entertain with more life stuff in those situations. After five years, sometimes, I just don’t even have a clue in hell what I was thinking when I was writing a book.)
$10 Otters: They receive a bookfunnel link with new eBooks 3 days or so before retail release. They also receive a post with an ePub of the book if they don’t want to use bookfunnel.
$15 Sirens: They receive an audiobook chapter every Tuesday to Thursday until I run out of audiobook chapters?! (I have not run into this problem yet, but I’m sure one day it will happen??)
$25 Cindercorns: They will receive a bookfunnel link of all new audiobooks in addition to the mp3 files and they gain access to a work-in-progress read along of upcoming material.
$100 Spicy Ponies with Bite: They receive an extra WIP read along, which is a passion project with infrequent updates. They will also receive a copy of specially selected collector’s edition titles. (Note: to be eligible for the super fancy special collector’s edition, they must have been a Spicy Pony for at least three months and have an active membership when the books are ordered.)
The first Spicy Ponies with Bite special edition title will be the Cindercorn trilogy, which will have a signed tip in page (glued into the book by the printer). Turns out my printer does tip in pages for a nominal extra fee, so I will be going that route for all my special editions.
