Before anyone panics, the book will be releasing on time. However, I will not be able to finish the arc in the time I gave for it, so I will be sliding in a second Jace book to finish the arc I’m starting in Game On before I move on to the next cop. It’s a case of bit off more than I could chew, and rather than try to cut out a lot of stuff that has applicable purpose within the series, I’m just going to tack in another book into the series.
Game on is currently sitting pretty at 73,000 words, which is 50% into where I wish to be for the ending of the book. I will not be able to finish in 73,000 words. In good news, I had actually identified this as an issue at approximately 40,000 words into Game On, so all I did was give myself 33,000 words to confirm that yes, this is taking longer to write than anticipated.
I’m sure everyone here is very sad about this.
This will slightly change my production schedule for 2027, as I will be sliding in the next G.P. Robbins book after I’m done the final Lilith Daniels novel. (I want to roughly keep G.P. Robbins books coming between 12 to 18 months after the previous title.)
You can check out this post to see the rough scheduling order for the future.
Also, the part about Herding Polecats being after Shark Island is a blatant lie. You can expect Herding Polecats to release sometime between May and August of 2027. I have been working on it as an evening project when the mood strikes me, and progress is being made at an appreciable clip.
I am also working on Murder at River’s End, which should be coming out in 2027 as well.
So, in bad news, I’m not feeling well (I was exposed to gunk at where I ride. I should be fine in a few days) so I’m gonna go do restful things so I feel better. Have a good day. I just wanted to let you know of the slight adjustment to the schedule due to my poor planning / plotting abilities. Hhahahahahahaaa
More Jace! yay! 2027 potential releases sound great! Hope you feel better before your next riding lesson.
Oh. Dear. Another Jace and Valor book, soon after the next? Whatever shall we do????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(giggle)
Thank You. I love Jace, so I am thrilled to hear this. Whateveryou like to write, I like to read. The Lilith Daniels books are some of my favorites. I hope you feel better soon.
Feel better soon.
I’m sorry not sorry to learn about this.
Hope you escape the gunk soon.
