Stage 1 of Preparing for My Husband’s Retirement begins with a simple transitionary stage. I have added the Mermaids tier over at Patreon! This tier costs $50 a month and includes everything Spicy Ponies with Bite receives plus my photography adventures.
If you are a Spicy Pony with Bite and you want to enjoy the same exact perks… go ahead and downgrade your membership. (If you are on yearly, please wait until right before your yearly membership expires so you don’t end up overpaying for the transition.)
When my husband does retire, the reality is this: I will not be posting as much to Patreon. The $100 tier will be closed as soon as there are no longer any members on it. (This will take effect as soon as the tier empties.) The Mermaids tier will essentially become the Spicy Ponies with Bite tier with a twist.
The Mermaids tier is now also my photography journaling home. If you are interested in following my photography adventures, the Mermaid tier is where you want to be. To start off with, Spicy Ponies with Bite will be receiving the photography journal perks.
As my husband gets closer to his retirement, the photography will become the exclusive perk of the mermaids.
To begin with, the photography perks will be touch and go. When I go on a photo walk and take pictures I like, I will share them with the Mermaids. The license will be personal usage only, no commercial. (If you would like a commercial license for my photography, please message me on Patreon with details on what you want to do with the photograph(s) in question.)
The photographs I take in England, Ireland, and Scotland in March/April will be the first official “big trip” photographs Mermaids will gain access to. After that, they will be romping around Canada and Alaska with me. Currently, photo walks are dependent on my knees and the weather, but if I take any pictures I like, I will share them.
In the meantime, I will be doing infrequent Walks Down Memory Lane posts to the Mermaids tier, which will include things like my photography in Australia, photographs from my first venture to England, and so on.
When my husband does retire, posting will drop down to a Monday-Friday (for read along materials, and WIP will only be posted as I have scenes available), and audiobook chapters will only be posted on Wednesday. (Reminder: this will happen in roughly 5 years.) I simply won’t have as much content as I used to.
On the other hand, because my husband and I are planning to travel more often in our retirement, there will be a great deal more photo journaling going on.
When my husband retires, a $20 tier will be opened that will eventually replace the Cindercorns tier. The perks will be the same, but it will cost less to reflect the lessened content.
